Review-
'He might have broken me but I burned him.' This made no sense to me in the beginning. But as I reached the end of the novel, I was dumbstruck. The unexpected had happened. While reading the first few chapters, I didn't get the slightest of hint that something like this would happen. It took me a few seconds to digest the ending. And the description at the cover made much sense after that. The description is so beautiful.Everything is to the point, nothing less and nothing more.
'White Noise' will leave you as clueless as the title itself seems to be. The book is divided into three parts- Me, her and him. There are seventy-one chapters in total, each one being very short. After reading this book, I can very much relate to the female protagonist. I feel like- her eyes and observations are my observations. Her sufferings are my sufferings. This is what made me cry every now and then. I could very well connect with her and her emotions. It is only at the end of the book, readers get to know the story from male protagonist's point of view. I would rather not call him a male protagonist, as it will contradict the whole notion of 'who is a male protagonist'.
This book doesn't present a typical Bollywood love story,as I expected it to present. I badly needed a read like this. And, it has entered into the category of 'best reads' in my review list. 'Every experience that leaves a mark on us-physically or emotionally, is worth nurturing.' Read this book, maybe you will end up relating to it even more. I do not recommend books, generally, but this time I cannot resist myself from recommending. This book is worth reading. Give it a read, you will not be disappointed.
My rating-4.5/5
